(1) Leadership structure

  1. 1. Chairman of the Committee
  • • Appointed by the Secretary General of the United Nations after extensive consultation with member states, usually by senior individuals with outstanding leadership, academic achievements, and international reputation, with a term of five years and the option to be re elected once.
  • • As the highest leader, I am fully responsible for the strategic planning, major decisions, and external representative affairs of the committee. I regularly report my work to the United Nations General Assembly and the Secretary General to ensure consistency with the UN mission. At the same time, I advocate for the spirit of the Nobel Prize on the international stage, enhance the committee's global influence, and create a favorable environment for its work.

  • • Three vice chairpersons shall be appointed, each composed of outstanding experts in the fields of science, literature, peace, and economics. They shall be nominated by the chairperson and approved by the plenary session. Their term of office shall be three years, and they may be re elected once.
  • • Assist the chairman in carrying out daily work, take the lead in providing business guidance and strategic coordination in relevant fields, pay attention to global trends in various fields, provide professional advice for award cooperation, selection criteria research, and other work, ensuring alignment with cutting-edge trends; The representative committee communicates with international organizations and academic institutions, expands cooperation networks, and enhances the discourse power in professional fields.

  1. 1. Award Cooperation Department
  • • International Cooperation Office: Responsible for establishing daily contacts with Nobel Prize selection agencies and international organizations, handling transactional communication, following up on policy changes and activity arrangements of selection agencies, coordinating high-level exchanges and cooperation projects, while maintaining contact with international academic organizations, research institutions, etc., collecting global field dynamics, and providing information and channel support.
  • Exchange Activity Department: Plan and organize exchange activities between Nobel laureates and the United Nations and various sectors around the world, carry out refined management from planning, theme design to promotion, formulate communication strategies based on the form of the activities, use multiple platforms to expand influence, promote knowledge dissemination and cooperation opportunities, and enhance the international reputation of the awards.

  • • Academic Research Department: Gathering interdisciplinary talents, conducting theoretical research and data analysis on the academic fields involved in the Nobel Prize selection criteria, mining the patterns of selection data over the years, analyzing academic contribution measurement indicators, paying attention to international academic frontiers, introducing new methods, and enhancing research professional level and innovation ability.
  • • Standard Development Department: Based on research results and international feedback, jointly develop and revise evaluation standards with selection agencies, organize expert discussions on clause expression, ensure rigor and accuracy, consider regional, cultural, and disciplinary differences, and make standards globally applicable; Translate standards into actionable guidelines and processes, track and evaluate their implementation, and provide a basis for continuous improvement.

  • • Media Communication Department: Responsible for collaborating with the media, developing communication strategies, managing resource libraries, establishing long-term partnerships with various media outlets, selecting channels based on promotional goals, writing and reviewing news articles to ensure content aligns with the purpose and image, monitoring reporting effectiveness, responding to hot topics, handling crises, and maintaining reputation.
  • • Educational Resource Development Division: In collaboration with UNESCO and other organizations, we aim to explore the educational value of the achievements and deeds of award winners, develop educational projects, textbooks, and online resources suitable for different stages, and integrate innovative spirit into teaching; Establish an evaluation mechanism, optimize resources based on feedback, stimulate student interest, cultivate talents with a global perspective, and provide support for social development.

  • Collaborative Project Department: Responsible for collecting, screening, and evaluating information on collaborative projects, dispatching teams to explore potential project leads, conducting research and analysis on feasibility, innovation, and alignment with the spirit of the Nobel Prize, selecting key projects, writing reports and plans, and providing a basis for cooperation negotiations.
  • Fund Coordination Office: To raise and coordinate funds for cooperative projects, communicate with United Nations funds, financial institutions, enterprises, and charitable organizations, match funding sources, develop fundraising plans, write application materials, and seek support; Coordinate the allocation and use of funds, establish a financial supervision system, improve efficiency, ensure project quality and social benefits, and promote the global transformation of Nobel Prize achievements.

  • • The main responsibility is to provide professional consultation and intellectual support for major decisions, selection criteria research, project evaluation, etc. of the committee, regularly participate in seminars and conferences, be commissioned to conduct special research and evaluation, form reports, ensure that the committee's work follows scientific laws and professional standards, enhance authority and work quality, and achieve the institutional mission.
